Here’s some more silly-time with little Ben. I claim that his counting style is just evidence that he’s discovered a new Lie algebra. And, yes, Old McDonald is his favorite song.

J. Traill, c. 1941
We thought that Ben is a clone of Ariana. We were wrong. He’s the clone of a certain other Professor Traill…
Don’t be fooled by the Aquadoodle pen. That’s not for drawing, as far as Ben is concerned. It’s a giant water lollipop.
So, for those of you who need a toddler fix, here’s a typical day in the life of Ben. He likes Duplos a lot now, and has actually managed to learn how to stick them together. And, for the record, he does know what a cow, sheep, rooster, dog, cat, snake, duck, horse, bee, lion, and a bird says.

So, we know that most of you will never see photos of Ben from Flickr unless we blog them. Therefore our (i.e., my) New Year’s Resolution is to post to this blog a bit more often.
Don’t forget that if you do log into Flickr that there are all kinds of purchase options. You just need to remember which email address you used when we gave you permission to see our private collection.
Anyway, these are Ben’s new, extremely cute PJs from Carol. That’s the blanket from Aunt Ris that he goes to bed with each night.
Ben has his own ideas about harmony.
After a disappointing trip to the Aquatic Center (it was closed for a swim meet), we all had a great time in the Sander’s back yard. Ben loved this funky sprinkler (it freaks everyone else out)!
Ben finally decided to start walking last night. I think that all of the mocking, i.e.,
Connor started walking before you! And he’s a month younger! Nicole is not allowed to beat me at anything!
inspired him.
