Mom did an amazing job on Ben’s birth-day. She went into labor a bit before midnight on 4/6, and so we headed off to the hospital. She was a little stubborn and first refused to get into a wheelchair. That didn’t last long. 
Turns out that she was dilated by 3 cm! She was a bit cranky until the nurses OK’d the serious drugs, and then she slept through the night (although I didn’t get more than 1 or 2 hours of shuteye). The serious pushing took about two hours ’cause little Ben decided to try to enter the world a little crookedly (the first sign that he would be a stubborn DeMarco). At 9:34 Mom was rewarded with a little baby (who had a bit of a cock-eyed conehead):
